Health-Care Overhaul Still May Not Make the Medicine Go Down

The health-care overhaul will make it easier for more Americans to buy drugs. How much the historic legislation also curbs the growth in treatment costs will depend on whether people take those medicines… 

The researchers at the New England Healthcare Institute said some of the most promising solutions include expanding the use of digital technology to link medical and pharmacy records…Valerie Fleishman, executive director of the institute, said “That’s a big first step, getting good information out of data silos and into patient and physician hands.”
