Initiative aiming for better medication adherence

The New England Healthcare Institute has started an initiative aimed at improving patients’ adherence to their medication.
Research kicks off next month with a roundtable discussion among the stakeholders brought together by the institute for the project. A total of 16 members including patients, payers, providers, caregivers, and pharmaceutical, health information technology and employer representatives will take place in the initiative, said Valerie Fleishman, executive director of the institute. Those members are sponsoring the research; Fleishman declined to say how much the initiative will cost....
