Saving Lives, Reducing Costs: CPOE Lessons Learned in Community Hospitals

A group of chief information officers and project managers from Massachusetts hospitals currently implementing or planning to implement CPOE have identified six focus areas to improve implementation: physician incentives, process redesign, metrics, physician training, governance of clinical decision support and leadership commitment.
